LONG LIVE DEVIANCE - purple - AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS

It is at all times required to take into account deviance. Deviance refers to the dynamics of our society. How can we do something with it?

E.g. "the devil's advocate".

POPULATION ISSUES - Orange - BURLINGTON, VERMONT

We believe that a decrease in population is important to maintain a viable environment, to reduce human misery and the perceived need for war. We must maintain our reverence for the quality of life and the process of death.

As world citizens we support full equality for all women, birth control availability and family planning for men and women, sexual liberty, and the rights of abortion, living wills and the right to die. We support conscious reproductive choice with an emphasis on social responsibility.

We recognize that there is a correlation between educational level and the birth rate; the more educated people are, the fewer children they create. We therefore support free education for all people, based on their individual and collective needs.

We want to see all the people of the planet experience a higher standard of living, preferable with low-environmental impact technologies. A child from the "first world" uses 50 times the world resources as a "third world child". Therefore, we support a simplified life style and a decommercialization of the human culture with less consumption/consumerism.

We believe that there is a need for comprehensive studies to discover the optimum human population that can be ecologically justified.

WE WANT A SERIES OF GROUPS IN PERMANENT SITTING. ANY GOVERNMENT SHOULD BE FUNDAMENTALLY BASED ON NON-OWNERSHIP - Green - LONDON, ENGLAND

In recognition of the finite nature of natural resources, we recommend that a global governance system structure is necessary. This should be based on non-ownership reflecting global stewardship. Such structures are feasible in the light of our belief that human nature can evolve and continues to evolve.

The first step toward such governance is acceptance of personal responsibility, including raising of consciousness, both individual and collective. The structure should incorporate a series of groups and bodies in permanent sitting, reflecting democratic process and with no political, national or otherwise vested interests. These groups/bodies must address human and global needs and distribution of resources, recognizing finite nature of same aiming to avoid conflict "thereover".

No global system would be desirable without a facility for grassroots input.

ALLOCATION OF RESOURCES - NEW HARTFORD, NEW YORK

All people have the right to a decent standard of living - food, clothing, clean air and water, shelter, health care, education, and recreation. In order to provide these necessities, there must be zero population growth to prevent the destruction of the remaining resources. Overpopulation must be controlled to lower and eventually eliminate pollution. Funding for the military to be decreased substantially with those tax dollars moving to the social sphere. REAL progressive income tax with no loopholes for the wealthy who can hire lawyers to subvert the process. Reallocation of funds to the public schools for the hiring of the best qualified teachers and purchase of the best equipment (i.e., computers, lab equipment, musical instruments for all who want them, etc.) so that public schools become so desirable that the rich will not want to send their children to private schools. This could be a small step in ending the class system. End the exploitation of labor and other resources of the planet that now benefit the wealthy nations and corporations. Encourage local control of resources with protection against corruption of local officials by the wealthy to see out labor and resources in their area.

MILITARY - NEW HARTFORD, NEW YORK

The sale of arms (including hardware, software and plans for building arms or making of biological and chemical weapons) should be made illegal. Funds formerly spent for arms are to be used for constructive purposes.

Internationalize a statement on voting forwar. It must be approved by a majority of all voters. It must be by open ballot. Those in favor of the war must be the participants

De-emphasize competitive sports, especially those with violence, and promote cooperative sports as a way of reducing violence which has been institutionalized.

The United Nations should be the only military force instead of nation state forces. An order of reduction of national military forces would take place.

The military should be trained for social service purposes to alleviate suffering of individuals from natural disasters and other catastrophes.

There must be penalties for those encouraging proxy or low-intensity conflicts.

There must be sanctions against companies and governments who have wars fought on their behalf and sanctions against all wars.

International military force must enforce sanctions against those who use aggression to solve conflict.

The United Nations and the World Bank must institute sanctions against corporations and governments who promote warfare to solve disputes.

Civilian-based defense should not cooperate with oppressors.

We need International Department of Peace to replace Departments of Defense and War.

STATEMENT 1V - STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN

Loyalty, code of honour, accountability (our cause), goal congruence (Gratis), responsibility.

Loyalty You are loyal to higher dimensions. Loyalty is needed in organization.

Loyalty means responsibility.

Loyalty is directly connected to internal security.

Loyalty is predicated on clearly formulated goals.

Loyalty to a person goes before loyalty to a cause.

Code of honour

Code of honour exists even in the mafia, criminal and terrorist organizations.

Accountability

Ethics

"Internal ethics must be more cohesive than that of it's environment."

Goal congruence

Goals in organizations are dynamic. When one talks about wider and more abstract goals, one uses the main term policy. One should pose the question in the context, "by whom for whom".

Pride can be a means for obtaining loyalty.

Goal congruence is not painless. The individual should formulate his goals for his tasks and coordinate with his coworkers.

Goals must be clearly expressed. "Clean and explicit rules by expressed consensus. Internal ethics must be higher than its environment's". Loyalty is predicated on clearly defined goals.

Dysfunctional goal congruence leads to lower degree of responsibility and disobediency.

Clarifying questions:

  1. How do we follow up at the individual level?
  2. What happens if someone decides to go his own way?
  3. How do-you treat new members?

Example of goals:

  1. survival
  2. sprida kunskap om versamheten
  3. to be accepted, established
  4. advanced education<

GLOBAL BILL OF RIGHTS - Light Blue - SWANSEA, WALES

Bills of Rights are not usually enforceable. This does not mean that they should not be written. We need Bills of Rights that are generated within communities and within nations. These bills need to link with each other in a nested way to create a Bill of Rights for nations and communities within the global framework. These bills provide us with ideal visions which, although not always enforceable at present, are encourageable.
