Report from Infoset of Batie, Ethiopia

Our global town meeting of the World Syntegrity Project took place March 24Ð26, 1997, involving 24 participants (25, including the organizer).

We thank the World Citizen Foundation for its donation and encouragement, including Organizer's Guide, other pamphlets, and financial support. We received this support through our central WSP coordinator from Kembolcha, Ethiopia.

We also wish to thank town residents for their efforts, limited funds and timely material contributions.

All participants in the conference have expressed their willingness to extend the project to many other parts of Ethiopia.

The following are our 12 Statements of Importance around the central question, "How can we, as sovereign world citizens, best govern our world?"

Report from Degan, Ethiopia Infoset

The eighteen participants of this meeting, held 27Ð29 March 1997, were interested in how to promote human rights under a World Government of World Citizens.
We have received pamphlets, an Organizer's Guide, and a financial donation from money sent to our coordinator by the World Citizen Foundation to assist and encourage Infosets in Ethiopia. These funds, plus some money from our poor economy, enabled us to cover food, transportation, and other expenses of the meeting. We heartily thank everyone who helped us, in the name of world peace.
The conference ended by creating the following Statements of Importance, all around the central question: "How can we, sovereign world citizens, govern our world?"

Red Team
1. Create a global institution that is able to channel the power of all countries toward building a democratically elected world government.
Black Team
2. All nations must take responsibility for keeping the world's atmosphere clean.
White Team
3. World law must ban the production and trade of nuclear weapons, cocaine, marijuana, as well as cigarettes.
Orange Team
4. Free health services and worldwide food supplies must be available for the poorest countries.
Yellow Team
5. Encourage freedom of worship except if it hurts the human species and people's right to live in a natural world.
Green Team 6. World government must teach that all people are essentially one.

In conclusion, we consider this our basis for a world constitution for the year 2000, and encourage our brothers and sisters around the world to work towards world government.
