Beijing, China

Your Excellency,

We have the honor and great pleasure to extend to you the most respectful and friendly greetings of the World Citizens duly registered with Our Government.

We will be visiting the Republic of China (Taiwan) in early March at the invitation of the Veteran Affairs Association, which, among other organizations as well as governmental officials there, is interested in the concept of world citizenship and its various programs.

We will be discussing with President Lee Teng-hui the purposes and current activities of the World Service Authority, Our Government's administrative organ, which was founded in 1954 following the proclamation of the World Government of World Citizens on September 4, 1953.

We wish to inform you respectfully that we would be most happy to visit Beijing after our Taiwan visit to meet with you and senior government officials with the same purpose in view.

We are enclosing information concerning this historic political mission, which began coincident with the proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the General Assembly of the United Nations, December 10, 1948.

In appendix herewith is reference material concerning Our Government's contacts with the People's Republic of China since 1954.

In Taiwan, we may be contacted through Mr. Feng Wang, c/o Ms. Evelyn Chao, Boughton Peterson Yang Anderson, Suite 605, 6th Floor, Bank Tower, 205, Tun Hua North Road, Taipei.

Please accept, Your Excellency, our most sincere wishes for a happy, prosperous and peaceful New Year.

Republic of China (Taiwan)

Mr. President:

We have the honor and pleasure to greet you in the name of the citizens of the world.

We have, as you may know, received an invitation to visit Taiwan, tendered by the Veteran Affairs Association, to which we have replied in the affirmative.

Mr. Feng Wang, a registered World Citizen, had advised us that we would be meeting with you as well as other government officials to discuss the principles and activities of Our Government.

Given the geo-political situation between Mainland China and Taiwan, we have the intention to visit Mainland China following our visit with you. To this end we have addressed the enclosed letter with enclosures (copy) to President Jiang Zemin on the above date.

We look forward to a fruitful meeting with you in the near future and, in the meantime, wish you and yours a happy, prosperous and peaceful New Year.

Please accept, Mr. President, the assurances of our most respectful consideration.
